Ollín
restaurant branding
The Ollín branding project is inspired by the Nahuatl word for movement and transformation, rooted in Aztec philosophy. I used the snail as a central symbol—an ancient Aztec representation of slow, intentional motion and inner change. This visual identity was developed for a fictional café that serves as a community space for learning, reflection, and cultural connection.
The color palette—rusty orange, grayish black, and cream—draws from the warmth and vibrance of Mexican culture while echoing the tones found in the murals of the Mexican Renaissance art movement. The branding blends historic symbolism with contemporary design, creating a space that honors the past while moving forward with purpose.
